Chinook Winds is a small casino located around the coast of Oregon, known for their Vegas-style gaming. Direct Marketing Coordinator of the Casino, Kendra McPhail, and her team were looking for a unique invitation for the Casino’s New Year’s Eve party. One of their vendors recommended Red Paper Plane, when they asked for innovative ideas for the mailer.

Kendra shared that the invites were being sent to their VIP clientele, so they needed to be eye-catching enough to capture their attention, and also meet the vintage “VIP” standard.

“We loved the uniqueness of the Polygon design, especially the surprise element of the pop-up. The multiple panels gave us plenty of real estate to be creative with our Vintage Big Top Circus theme,” said Kendra. “The entire template download and art upload process was very easy, and we thought the 3D model was extremely useful.”

THE RESULTS

Kendra shared that the final product surpassed their expectations, and the mailers were not only on time, but arrived early.

Recipients loved the playful nature of the invite so much that out of the 1,200 invitations sent out, only 23 seats were empty on the day of the event, resulting in an astounding 98% response rate!
